“Bael (Ba’al or Baal) is a demon described in demonological grimoires such as The Lesser Key of Solomon and the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum (where he is the first spirit mentioned) and also in the Dictionnaire Infernal.
He is described as a hoarsely voiced king with the power to make men invisible.”
The Baal Signature: The most striking feature of the memo is the labelling of the receiving bank line as “Baal. name: Wachovia Bank, N.A.”. [p. 1]
The Date & Conviction Status: The memo is dated July 27, 2009. At this time, Epstein was a registered sex offender. Despite this, JP Morgan continued to process direct wire requests from his personal foundation.
The Recipient & Amount: Epstein requested a wire of $11,438.10 from his C.O.U.Q. Foundation account. [p. 1]
The Entities Involved:
Account Name: The funds were sent to One Clearlake Centre, LLC.
Reference: The payment was marked as “The Florida Science Foundation — Invoice 1404”.
The JP Morgan Contact: The memo was addressed to William Doherty, a contact at JP Morgan. [p. 1]
The C.O.U.Q. Shell: The C.O.U.Q. Foundation has been identified in unsealed 2025 records as one of several non-profit entities used by Epstein to facilitate financial transfers related to his Epstein Enterprise.
The foundation was used to justify Epstein spending 12 hours a day, six days a week outside of jail. Instead of a cell, he spent his sentence in a private office at One Clearlake Centre in West Palm Beach—the same address listed in your “Baal” memo.
Paying for Protection: The foundation paid over $120,000 to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office for off-duty deputies to guard him during these work-release hours.
The Office Allegations: Lawsuits later alleged that Epstein continued to sexually exploit victims inside the Florida Science Foundation office while he was technically serving his sentence.
The Eugenics Mask: While its stated purpose was “science education,” Epstein’s broader scientific interests focused on genetic determinism and eugenics, including plans to “seed the human race” with his own DNA.
The Dissolution: The foundation was dissolved in September 2009—just two months after Epstein completed his jail sentence and only weeks after the “Baal” memo was processed.
